Editable invoice template
An invoice you can actually edit — fill it in online to get totals, tax and discount calculated, then download an editable Word file or print to PDF. Adjust wording, move columns, add your logo and send.
No sign-up. Editable Word (.docx) or print to PDF. Your answers stay in your browser. Updated .
A blank PDF that cannot be edited is useless when you need to change wording, add a note for the client, or move a column. Every invoice on this site is fully editable: fill it in online, download as Word to tweak further, or print directly to PDF.
Your business details save in your browser for the next invoice; nothing is uploaded. Line totals, subtotal, tax, discount and any balance after part payment calculate as you type, so the numbers are right before you send.
What to include#
- Fill in online. Answer simple questions for your details, the client, items and payment terms.
- Editable Word download. Download a .docx file you can open in Word, Google Docs or LibreOffice and edit freely.
- Totals auto-calculate. Line amounts, subtotal, one tax rate (VAT/GST/sales tax), discount and balance due add up as you type.
- Add your logo. Upload a logo before download and it appears in the header.
- Print-ready PDF. Print directly to PDF from your browser for a copy you cannot accidentally alter.
How to fill it in#
Step 1: Start the invoice
Open the editable template — your business details are pre-filled if you have used Clausery before.
Step 2: Add client and invoice numbers
Enter a unique invoice number, today's date, the due date and the client's details.
Step 3: List your items

Step 4: Check totals and tax
Turn on tax and enter your rate; review subtotal, tax, discount and total.
Step 5: Download and edit
Download the Word file, edit wording or layout if needed, save a PDF copy, and email it to your client.

Questions
Can I edit the Word file?
Yes — the downloaded .docx is a normal Word document. You can change wording, add paragraphs, move columns or add extra fields.
Can I save and re-edit later?
Yes — save drafts in your browser (IndexedDB) and resume later, or re-open the Word file you downloaded.
Can I add my own terms?
Yes. Add a "Notes / terms" block in the Word file or type extra wording into the notes field when filling it in online.
Do my clients need Word?
No — email them the PDF version. Only you need Word if you want to edit the layout.
Does it add up VAT/GST?
Yes. Turn on tax and enter your rate (e.g. 20% UK VAT, 10% AU GST, 13% ON HST) and the invoice calculates it for you.
