Questions

What is a performance improvement plan?

A written plan that tells an employee what is not working, what good performance looks like, the support they will get, and by when they need to improve.

How long should a PIP last?

Typically 30, 60 or 90 days: long enough to show real improvement against the goals, with regular check-ins along the way.

Does signing a PIP mean the employee agrees with it?

Not in this template. The signature confirms the employee received and discussed the plan, and they can add written comments.

Is it really free?

Yes. The download is free, and filling it in with the Clausery app is free too, with unlimited documents. Library templates never count towards a plan limit, and no account or card is needed.

Is my information uploaded anywhere?

No. Clausery runs entirely in your browser. Your answers and the finished document are created and stored on your own device.

Is this legal advice?

No. These are general samples. Laws differ between countries and states, so have the wording reviewed for your situation before you rely on it.
