Free, with no account

Download any template as an ordinary Word file, or fill it in here and download the finished letter. There is nothing to sign up for and no trial that turns into a subscription.

Approved wording, every time

HR owns the template; managers answer questions. Optional clauses such as equity, bonus, probation or a right of appeal only appear when they apply.

Personal data stays on the device

Salary and personal details are never uploaded, which keeps your records of processing and vendor reviews simple.

Share templates across the team

Export a template pack to your shared drive; colleagues import it and draft from the same approved version.

Questions

Are these HR templates free?

Yes. Every template can be downloaded as a Word file or filled in online at no cost and with no account. Library templates never count towards a limit, and the free plan also holds up to three of your own templates with unlimited letters; Pro adds unlimited templates and team features for $19 per user per month.

Which letter do I need?

An offer letter to make the offer, then an employment agreement for the full terms. A salary increase letter for a pay rise, a promotion letter for a new title, a warning letter to put a problem in writing, and a termination letter if employment ends. Verification and reference letters confirm employment for others.

Does employee data leave our computers?

No. Names, salaries and addresses are typed into the browser and the letter is generated there. Nothing is sent to Clausery or any other service.

Can managers use it without training?

Yes. HR sets up the template once; managers answer plain-language questions and download the finished letter. Optional wording only appears when it applies.
